The series "De Ring" by BNNVARA is a Dutch thriller and drama series from 2024. The story revolves around Anna, a lawyer who gets into trouble after she impulsively steals a ring from Simon, one of her most important clients. Unfortunately, this theft is captured on camera. Simon uses this evidence to blackmail Anna: either she sleeps with him, or he makes the footage public, which could ruin her career.
The situation is further complicated by the fact that Anna is in love with Max, a police officer with a keen instinct for lies. The series explores how far people are willing to go to hide mistakes and protect their lives, while the story continues to develop in a web of lies, intrigues and emotional struggles.
The leading roles are played by Hannah Hoekstra (as Anna), Benja Bruijning (as Simon) and Minne Koole (as Max), among others. The series was written by Frank Ketelaar, known for other successful Dutch series such as Klem and Overspel, and contains ten episodes.
