The crooks flee abroad with the crown and the ransom. They use a submarine to do this. This scene was shot on the Haringkade in Maassluis. The submarine was made by hobbyists and had not been dived before. The boat stayed under water for a long time but eventually floated to the surface again, which caused some tension in these recordings.
