In the 2nd season episode, the students visit a bookstore.
Opened in 1951, this independent shop specializes in English-language books. The bookstore is called "Shakespeare and company" and pays homage to an early 20th-century bookstore in Paris founded by American-born publisher Sylvia Beach, who became a favorite of creatives including Ernest Hemingway and F Scott Fitzgerald.
Unfortunately it had to close when the Nazis invaded France during World War II, but this second branch - opened in a different location by George Whitman in 1951 - keeps Beach's dream alive.
